A drain cable punches a hole through a clog, but buildup on the pipe walls often remains and the clog comes back. Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure water hose with a special nozzle that cleans the full diameter of the pipe as it moves through the line. It is especially useful for grease in kitchen and restaurant drains, scale in older cast iron pipe and fine root growth. Because jetting is powerful, we check the line first, often with a camera, to make sure the pipe is in good enough shape. After jetting, we flush the line and can follow up with a camera run to confirm it is clear.

Hydro jetting: common questions
Is hydro jetting safe for old pipes?
Healthy pipes handle it well. Badly damaged or collapsed pipe may not, which is why we check the line first.
How is jetting different from snaking a drain?
Snaking opens a path through the clog. Jetting cleans the pipe walls, which helps prevent the same clog from forming again soon.
