Your main water service line runs underground from the meter to the house, and problems with it can show up as low pressure throughout the home, a soggy spot in the yard, a higher water bill or water bubbling up near the street. Age, shifting soil and tree roots are common causes, and older lines made of galvanized steel or early plastic are prone to failure. We locate the line and the leak, then repair the damaged section or replace the full run, often with a new main shutoff valve at the house. When the work is finished, we restore water, flush the line and confirm good pressure.

Water line repair and replacement: common questions
Is the line from the meter to the house mine?
In most cases, yes. The utility usually owns the meter and the line on the street side, and the owner is responsible from the meter to the building.
Can you replace the line without digging up the whole yard?
Sometimes. Depending on soil and layout, boring or pulling a new line can reduce digging. We review the options on site.
